State of the Suburbs - 2026
The State of the Suburbs report is a detailed summary of development applications, approvals, construction and recent completions in 133 Brisbane suburbs. There have been nearly 780 new residential developments in the past five years or so in Brisbane. These developments account for over 6,300 house lots, around 5,700 townhouses and 9,400 apartments or units.
At the present time, there are around 320 projects under construction with over 1,900 house lots, nearly 2,050 townhouses and around 8,800 apartments or units.
Going forward, there are over 730 new projects in the development pipeline accounting for over 4,200 house lots, around 2,250 townhouses and over 28,300 apartments of units as of early 2026.
